E-Pastiche is a twice monthly newsletter created to be an outlet of expression for my making and to have a way to share the part of the process that I find most fun— the inspiration!
I named it E, for email, and Pastiche, defined as “an artistic work that imitates that of another work, artist, or period”. I love to consume art, and use this newsletter as a way to explore how the art I take in gets translated into the art I am making. For the most part, this is in the form of movies interpreted into garment making, but occassionally I forray into other territory, letting inspiration take hold from the rythms of my life and nature, and letting myself express this inpiration however I am moved to. Every now and then there is a Q & A with an artist in my orbit I admire or a personal essay. If you like sewing, film, or just having a peek into a creative process, I hope you keep reading!
